My family is growing (in number and age). In order to keep everyone happy, Im looking for a boat I can use for musky fishing and skiing / tubing (prolly 75% fishing/25% skiing use) (I know...not ideal b/c multi-use boats are usually mediocre at both fishing and skiing but not great at either.). To add to things, I can only fit a 16/17 foot boat in my city garage and Im on somewhat of a budget. Ive looked at the Rebel XL 1675 but max hp on that boat is 75...not sure that will work for skiing. I then looked at the Lund Impact but theyre a bit out of my price range. I recently found the Lowe FS165 online which has max hp of 90, ski pylon option, aft jump seats/fishing platform and according to factory rep has been totally re-designed for 2012..not sure of it's quality tho. No dealers seem to have this boat yet either. Thus, (sorry so long winded), Im looking for feedback from anyone who has been in my situation (maybe there isnt anyone) or anyone who has any of the above boats or any other boats for multi-use and what your experience has been. Thanks very much.

It's possible to ski behind a 75hp. Tubing won't be an issue. It won't like being behind a MasterCraft, but it'll do the trick.

It will work, and the 1675 is a great boat.

What about a used boat? Look for a Lund Fisherman 1700. I have a 2004 with a 115 on the back end. I fish about how you do. Great family boat and fishing boat all in one.

Maybe something like this will make the family and you happy?
skeeter 210 fish and ski
Works great for both.
