Location: Smith Creek | I have, I wouldn't use mono, Dipsys get down a lot better with braid. There's an adjustment screw on the dipsy that controls how much pull is needed to open it up, crank that down. 10's don't pull hard enough to open it if its screwed down enough. Stay the heck away from any structure! They are snagging machines with 10's on there. You're rod should be plenty for the magnum. And carefully check the metal connectors on the dipsy (where you attach it to your line and lure) some aren't quite solid enough for muskies.
I did not have any success with it for muskies. Caught lots of silver fish with them though. |
