Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | I saw a thread recently for what was everyones favorite type of line. I am curious to know why? I am either going to get Tuff XP, Spiderwire Stealth Braid, or Suffix 832. I have always used power pro, but looking to branch out. I started having more backlash issues last year.. The line was new at the beginning of the year. I want to know which is the best for backlashes? And if you do have backlashes, what is the easiest line to get them out? Also casting ability?
Thanks again! |

Location: Mt. Zion, IL | Sufix Performance Braid gets my vote over the 832. Sufix and Cortland Masterbraid are my favorites. |

| I'll second Sufix Performance Braid. I don't feel as though it backlashes as much as other braids. When it does I think it's easier to get out. By far my favorite line choice. |

Location: Land of the Musky | cortland and PowerPro are nice to me... cortland seems to be a little easier of the two lines but I like PowerPro better. Need to try the 832 line someday. Keep hearing good things about it.

Location: Manitowish Waters WI | I just bought some PP super slick 80lb and it feels sweet!!! Don't have more than an hour casting it but it is very round and has seemed to hold its shape and color. |

Location: Latitude 41.3016 Longitude 88.6160 | Try Power Pro Slick, Berkley Tracer Braid, Suffix Performance, and 832 this line will take a week or 2 to break in then it is one of the best. U want a braid with 8 fibers and 32 plus weave per inch. |

| I switched to the suffix 832 last year and really like it. If and when a blacklash comes, it is fairly easy to pick out. |

| Hate sufix 832.. bleeds and digs in like crazy. If you do get a backlash good luck getting it out. The regular sufix performance braid is much better. It's one of my favorites. I have been using that, PP and cortland and like all 3. But the 832, IMO is all hype and i will never buy it again after putting it on 3 different rigs last year. I gave it an honest college try and it was miserable line. |

Location: big cove tannery pa | i have used performance suffix for the last 2 years and i have not had a problem with castability and if i do get a backlash it is extremely easier to get out over the pp and stealth i used before... |

| I had a good season with the 832. The only issue I had was the gore fiber would come out and I'd get this build up of gunk in the nooks and crannies around my levelwind. It was kind of nasty by season end, but nothing a Qtip cuoldn't handle in about 5 minutes. Line was great for casting and staying dry. I used it on a 400TE very little backlash issue. I respooled with it on my 400TE and 300EJ again this season. |

I hate spiderwire. Wouldn't use it if you gave it to me. I haven't had many issues with braid. But all of them have come with Spiderwire. Some guys like it but its not for me. |

I didn't see anything about it on their website... where would I go to check it out? I found Northland Bionic Musky braid, but nothing else... |

| I've used PP, Cortland, 832, Spiderwire Invisabraid, Stealth.... Right now I'm using Suffix 832 Neon Lime and love it. I don't use breaks on my reels, never have and don't backlash. Sure I'll have a few during a season but the 832 is smooth and I like it very much. I haven't noticed the colors bleeding or line backlashing at all. I do want to try the new PP Slick 8 for the heck of it.... |

| I tried the PP slick this weekend on my calcutta 400b on a TI XH 9' rod. I really like this stuff. It was much quieter than the original PP. It seems like its strong but without the waxy coating the is usually found on regular PP. Either way, casted quite well, no backlash issues, my only concern was without the waxy coating, does this line hold up to abuse. Only time will tell, but so far so good. |
