Location: Duluth, MN | So i have a Lowrance LCX-27c. I suppose it's 5 years old now. I bought a Lake of the Woods Lakemaster chip for it. It's version 4. Does not read the chip. I can see it flashing in the lower right corner like it is trying to but no data comes up. I know the LCX is working fine as it reads my Minnesota chip fine.
After doing some checking on the internet i saw a post that someone said it will not work if you have the 2nd\data save chip in the unit but it would work if you just had the map chip in. I tried that and that does not work. I also read there are 2 versions of the chip a Black one and a Blue one. Mine is the black one and someone mentioned that might be the issue.
The 27C has version 2.5 software and looking on the lowrance website that is the most current.
Does anybody have any ideas. Am i out of luck with the version 4 chip and if so what are my options as i see Lakemaster does not make Lowrance chips anymore. |
