Anyone have this happen before? My Master power switch stays on all the time. Here is a pic of the switch showing the light still lit at the tip while in the off position. Switch bad maybe?? There also looks to be some interesting wiring in the wires that lead to the switch when I looked behined the panel (I bought this boat used). Some sort of small block that the wires feed into wrapped with a small amout ot duck tape. The wires go through to the switch but there is also a small bit wire (not shown in the pic) that is exiting that back-end of this little block that has been snipped off. They look to be completely separate from the other wires. It's like something else was connected/spliced into the Master wire line?? Not sure this has anything to do with the switch staying on but wanted to include this in case others believe this part of the issue.

Thanks,

Brad

Whomever used duct tape should be ashamed of themselves.

Is your master power actually on, or just the light? On many lit switches, the light is a separate ground from the actual power lead. Meaning, it may just be the light that's on and not actual power.

Right, just the light on the tip end - radio, graphs, bilge, etc. won't run or turn on when the master is in the off position like this.

somebody could have wired the light so they can see it at night? My guess would be under that tape is a wire from the plus side of the battery to that light.
