Subject: Which rod for dawgs and double 8's?

I am trying to cover my bases for an Eagle Lake trip in September. I have a 6'9" XH St Croix Premier for Jerkbaits, an 8' MH St Croix Premier for Cranks and smaller bucktails and I am looking for a rod to cast spring dawgs, regular 9in dawgs and dbl 8's (and possibly dbl 10's.) I was thinking about getting an 8'6" H action St Croix Premier. I am trying to decide between a H and XH action for this application. I am open to rods other than the Premier but so far I am liking the Premiers in terms of quality and the stiffness you get in the tip section. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help.

for 10's, get the XH premier. I use them for everything from baby depth raiders to pounders. They are very versatile rods.
