Location: Bloomington, MN | This is my annual post on what I and many consider the finest run muskie tournament. The $130 dollar entry fee gets you AND your partner ($65 a head) a hat that you will cherish for years, a delicious broasted chicken dinner with all the fixins...the baby reds are soooo good, and the opportunity to walk away with a boat valued over $40k. If an angler is smart enough and gets the first 50" on a Suick manufactured bait you receive an additional $10k, which covers the tax/title obligation fee kick, and then some! Pelican Lake does have BIG fish, I've recently seen them...not a 50", but a couple of upper upper 40's! If I can see and catch fish this large, 50"s are present. The owners and staff at Gerrits' Lakeview are a pleasure to be around, but so are the contestants. The best part of it all is that the proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House in Marshfield, WI.. Check out the link. I have knowledge of a cabin that can sleep at least 4 with a private ramp that is avaialble as of now, so P.M. me if interested, doin a favor for a friend. It's too HOT to fish right now, so make your plans for a lousy 54 days from now. Did I mention on how GOOOD the baby reds were??
