I have a few baits that I need to replace some hooks on.... wondering what everyone thought as far as the best hooks go? I need to replace hooks on...

8" Viper
2x 6" Phantom
7.5" Phantom
9" weighted Suick

Did a little bit of it last year, but really looking for in depth opinions on good hooks, for great hookups?

Secondary question... Do you think that the Phantom non-softtails could use the "fish tails" from MTO and not lose their action...? Here is the link...

Thanks

Mustad 35656BR - 3/0 is what you want for the Viper and Phantoms IMO.

3551's on the Suick - 3/0 also.

I would say no to the fish tails on phantoms.

GAMAKATSU'S!!!

Nothing's stickier. It's where the rubber meets the road. Don't buy cheap.

Do you touch them up w/ a file before you use them?

for me owner stinger 36 is by far the best one money can buy.
a lil bit overpriced but you got what you pay for.
believe me file is not needed with these trebles.
here is the model i use for the phantom and the viper 2/0 5636-121
concerning the suick i have no idea because i don't have any.

Fat ski...yep.

Also do know I'm not THE authority. Another fellow on the forum clued me in and now it's me agreeing with him! Incredible hooks.

The previous poster- learntoswim- suggested another brand and might know something I don't...that's not impossible :-))

Slide them across the thumbnail....any of your fav's. then do that w/a Gamakatsu.
