Take a look at the Quantum Big Cat. It's good,
stiff rod - all fiberglass. I saw them at Fleet Farm for about $35.00. Would also make a good fall trolling rod.

Also check out the Berkley E-Cat rods. They're fiberglass too which makes them virtually unbreakable.

Some of our Classic Cat Rods have been very well received for sucker fishing. I've been using the CC76H model for both trolling and suckers.

I've use the following with success and would buy another one of either. I have found that I prefer the "back bone" of the Bass-pro rod for quick strike/rubber band rigs. No problems setting the hook with these rods and I've had them out in 25 degree weather.

St. Croix
Fiberglass-Classic Cat Rod series
Models available in different lengths
$100+

Bass Pro- Mania Series
Live Bait Rod
IM6 to Fiberglass transition.
$79

Shakespere - Sturdy Stick
7' MH action.
All Fiberglass

The Bass Pro Cat Max rod is a good sucker rod. It is a fiberglass rod that takes the punishment and moderately priced at 49.00. Give it a whirl.
