Subject: Big nasty vs big dawg


Thoughts or comparisons between these two? Is one significantly better for throwing say the pounder? Do you think the big nasty is more versatile? Thanks!

you might want to look at a Thorn Bros Predator just picked up a 9'8" xx hevy Predator i might even try a 2 pounder this fall

Big Dawg = Big rubber
Big Nasty= Best double 10 rod going, also great with cranks, and mag dawgs = more versatile.

I have both. Both are more versatile than their ratings indicate. The big dawg can throw pounders and baits lighter than 4 oz. It is a great mag dawg rod. The big nasty is great for small bucktails as well as the double 10's. It has a very fast action and can whip lighter baits than you'd think it could. I've been using a premier 8' MH for 12 years and I think the big nasty works just as well, if not better for the small double #6 French blades I love to throw.
