Location: Hayward, WI | Cortland Masterbraid doesn't bleed at all from what I found and is a very good line. I used 832 last year also. I noticed it bled just a little at first but it was insignificant and didn't stain anything. I bought some Spiderwire Stealth a few years back and from what I remember it did not bleed either.

| I used the Sufix 832 last year and it bled like crazy. i wish i would have taken a pic of the front of my white boat. It was the worst of all of them. The one line i tried that has color that didn't bleed all that bad was Vicious braid. |

Location: Detroit River | I've had the same 80 LB Power Pro in green on my reel for 3 seasons now & had very little bleed/fading. I just spooled up my new bass reel with the Power Pro Slick 8 & used it this past Saturday & there's definatley less line noise than other braids I have tried. I used Stren Sonic braid & that stuff was by far the worst when it comes to bleeding.

| I just purchased red power pro and it hasn't bled on me at all. The older green stuff bled a lot as well but new spools of it have not been as bad. |

| Suffix 832 in white and Tufline XP don't bleed whatsoever. I kinda like the look of the white line too, actually. |

| Obviously some braided lines are worse that others, but I think a lot of the way some of these lines "bleed" can be curbed by the way it is spooled onto the reel.
If you hand spool your own line onto your reel... Generally you pinch the line very tightly between two fingers--usually with a rag or heavy paper towel or something of that nature. A lot of the loose coating will then be cleaned off of the line as your reel it onto your spool. However, if you have the line spooled in a shop off of a bulk spool, the tension is applied differently--generally to the plastic side of the bulk spool--and the loose coating is not rubbed off the line as it is spooled onto your reel. This is when you tend to get the bleeding that coats your hands, gear, and boat if you have one. Anyway, just my opinion... but this is one of the advantages of hand spooling your own line.
That said I have rad red power pro bleed all over me, even after hand spooling in the past, so obviously this is not a cure all. Just my opinion. |

| Try Spiderwire InvisiBraid. It costs a little more, but it is worth it. |
