Hi Freaks,
Got 2 muskies in the boat Friday up in Ashland County, WI. Lake X.
My pal Schram whapped the first, a FAT 37incher (I guessed about 12-14pounds), really nice colors at this lake. About 30 minutes later I had one on, then lost it, tossed back at him and immediately he struck again, this time we netted and photoed and released. Not much of a fish, male jeuvenile, coloration a little lighter than the big one, but definitely a real live muskie!! (We got pics, but they're the old-fashioned kind. I'll post 'em when I get 'em) Both were on suckers, both swam off strong. BTW we had to BREAK ICE to get the boat launched and out from the ramp!!

Wooo Hooo!!

No luck at all Saturday on Namekagon, just got real cold! Lake temps around 40degrees, and not much optimism amongst the other muskie guys we saw out there. Could be time to pack it in for 2002.

Later,
Papa Joe

Way to go, Joe! Guess it's my turn, now. Came close yesterday (still no cigar) but have high hopes for my day with Tony Grant. best wishes for more big fishes, m[]

Nice job, Joe. Now they'll start jumpin' inna boat.

By the way, Joe, it looks like I'm homebound this weekend afterall. A cousin is coming to visit. Fortunately he's a fishing nut and will go no matter the weather.[:)] Hopefully the expected snow will stop by Friday or so.

Hi Ranger,
I might have to cancel this weekend anyway, weather around Nam seems to be highs in the low 30s and lows in the single digits all week. Yikes!
Namekagon won't freeze over, but I suspect I will be lounging around inside this weekend...
After all, we're not barbarians!

Have agreat week,
Papa Joe
