| does anybody know how to reduce the size of a picture on your computer? I want to upload a pic but it refuses it because its size is too large |

| Divani,
What software are you using. I like to use Microsoft Photo Editor for resizing. When the pic is open, go to IMAGE, and click on RESIZE. You can make the size smaller very easily this way. Most programs allow you to do this. |

| shep, I mean the memory size (in kilobyte I think) not the overall size of the pic. It's 201 Kb and only 65 Kb is allowed |

| Divani,
When I resize a pic in MS Photo Editor, it actually reduces the file size. I think the limit is 250 KB for uploading files to post. |
| |
| then I don't know why it won't upload. It's smaller than the limit but it keeps aying error, reason not specified. |

| Hey I just registered (cool board) and just for kicks added a picture of my biggest muskie this year. If this works you might try emailing your picture to me at [email protected] and I can down-size it for you and email it back, just a thought. |

| Mine didn't work either which was 90kb. |
| |
| I tried again at 50kb by reducing size and number of colors used(it worked). |

| Webguy,
Welcome to MuskieFirst! I'm sure that along with any fishing information you could give there will be LOTS of members who could really LOVE some PC help!

| Thanks Slamr, I'm no PC pro but will help if I can. I caught muskie fever last fall and can't shake it! It's hard to think about much else these days. Our lake just turned over and the waters 55 degrees so things should start cranking! |

| If you have a zone alarm you must shut it down first.Thats what the problem was that I had.72 pixs too. |
