Location: Collegeville Pa | Hello everyone,
The Penn-Jersey chapter of Muskies Inc has launched the 2012 Spring Auction.
http://mi50.com/smf/index.php?board=47.0
This year’s auction is the biggest and best we have ever put together and list of bait makers, guides and other lots rivals any auction ever put together. Through hard work and dedication, auction organizers Silvia Spitzer, Art Knute and Tim “Lehigh Muskies”, have assembled a veritable who’s who of custom baits. This year’s auction has baits donated from Trueglide, Jerry Podmarsky, John Snow, Greg Nimmer, Robert Mullins, Matt Gillespie, Smuttly Dog, Steve Warner, Tuscarora Tackle, Bondy Baits, Big Mama, Big Game, Johnny Dadson, Big Bully Baits, Pearson Baits, Stan Durst, Anthony Ashby, Ben Modica, Musky Armor, Todd Leopardi, Man Cave Baits and Silvia Spitzer. Trips from Neilson’s Fly-In lodge, Larry Jones of Mostly Musky Charters, Musky Joe ‘s Ottawa River charters, Red Childress’s Alleghany Guide Service and Dieter Scheel of BigD River Guide service. Plus a custom rod made by Tuscarora Tackle. All in all, 70 lots of musky fishing magic!
The auction is held each year to help the Penn-Jersey Chapter of Muskies Inc (MI50) raise money to improve the local fishery in South Eastern PA. This is mainly accomplished by purchasing advanced fingerling Muskies (12”-20”) and stocking them into local lakes. Thus far the emphasis has been on Marsh Creek Lake in Chester County where the club has built a viable and flourishing pure bred Musky population. Given the success we have had on this body of water, the club has moved on to other bodies of water while still maintaining the fishery at Marsh Creek. This can only be accomplished by raising as much money as possible through auctions like this, other club events such as “guide for a day” and the club’s new coop / partnership with Cabela’s and the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission. For information regarding this awesome initiative, check out this link on Musky First:

Here is a excellent video, done by one of our club members Archie Roche, capturing and stocking the first batch of fish at Cabelas:

Location: Collegeville Pa | Given the interest / success of the auction thus far, we have decided to make the ending times a "shoot out". That is, instead of having all lots end at 8:00 PM, we are having the lots end every 2 min. This way you have a chance at multiple lots that may interest you.
Please see the auction website for complete details. Thanks for all the support thus far.
