| Hey guys I bought a humminbird 858c and a minn kota terrova with the universal sonar and im having problems with the sonar working when the trolling motor is on. I bought a pc 11 power cord and it does not fix the problem. The humminbird is also hooked up to its own power source. when the motor is off the sonar works fine but once the motor is on it starts reading crazy depths. I was told by the customer service at humminbird to check a fuse that is in the head of the trolling motor by the transduser can sometimes be the problem with interference. has anyone had this problem and has a way to fix it. Any help is really appreciated..thanks-steve | |

Looks like you need a ferrite filter, although that first link has a post with a laundry list of things to try.
