Location: Elgin, IL | Working on getting a 7'6 or 7'9 Hvy Rod to add to my collection. Wanting to see what suggestions or choice for the reel to have on it. And just to let you know I love my Shimano's. I guess it would probably be between a Curado 300, 300EJ or Calcutta. |

| What are you planning on throwing with it?

Location: Elgin, IL | Yeah, could be a little more clearer with this. Was looking to use it for some small to medium cranks, spinnerbaits. Overall actually for twitch baits in general. Am I to look for something different? Have noticed some with different action on the tips. Anyways was just trying to get a feel what most would actually like to pair it along with the reel. I am still somewhat new to all of this. |

| Flo my opinion would be that a curado E would be ideal on it. The line pick up is quick but not as quick as the EJ, its a great reel for small to medium sized twitchers, and would also double well as a nice glide/jerk bait rod depending on what action taper you get.
Thats just my opinion but I think it would be great for that setup. I love talking gear! |

Location: NE Twin Cities Metro | I d go with a Calcutta. It's just so versatile and bullet proof. Only downside for when throwing twitching baits is the gear ratio could be quicker for picking up slack line. But I think it would give you a better all around reel for multiple presentations. |
