Revo Toro Maintenance

I disassembled my Revo Toro for annual cleaning and after reassembly it cranks hard when the drag is tightened. I took it apart again and compared it to another Revo Toro and it seems like I have everything put back together right, but it still seems to bind when the drag is tight. Any ideas?

I'm betting your issue is in the stack of washers under the star wheel. If you didn't put them in the right order, or forgot to put on in the star wheel could be rubbing on the frame. Also check that the drag washer stack is correct. One of the metal drag washers has two little "ears" on it and if they are not in the grooves cut for them in the main gear the drag washers will be high enough to run against the inside of the sideplate.
