All my biggest fish came on jerkbaits and crankbaits in the 5.5-7" range

I believe in it 100%, you can look in all my boxes and will find it hard to find baits under 10 inches. As a matter of fact I now have a box full of 13+ inches that will be strickly used once the water temps hit 45. [:p]

I can't wait for the cold water season to start :-) I know many more pigs are coming for a visit aboard the Muskie Magnet 2. []

I believe that you should match the bait to the food there feeding on. Example- Pewaukee Lake muskies are a small bait eating fish,"stunted panfish lake". Other lakes in the area with cisco's and larger panfish we use larger baits with good sucess. Lakes with large forage need similar size baits. As for the Ottowa River you can't use baits to big, they just don't make them. I used a 18 inch bait to catch the 57 incher and a 10 inch Believer to catch my 53 inch muskie a four years back. I can only wonder how big they are now. [:praise:]
