Here is the story behind...

> The attached pictures are of a guy who works for the forest
> service in Alaska. He was out deer hunting. A large...large,
> world-record Griz charged him from about 50 yards away. The guy
> unloaded a 7mm Mag, Semi-auto into the bear and it dropped a
> few feet from him. The thing was still alive so he reloaded and
> capped it in the head. It was over one thousand six hundred
> pounds, 12'6" high at the shoulder. It's a world record. The
> bear had killed a couple of other people. Of course, the game
> department did not let him keep it. Think about it. This thing,
> on it's hind legs, could walk up to the average single story
> house and be at eye level with the roof.

That's not a bear, it is a Semi with a drunk driver and teeth!! I hunt with a 7MM Mag, and know it will stop anything coming at me with well placed shots, but my hair would now be totally white.[:0]

Gotta say it, that if that bear were chasing after me, It would be easy for the bear to track me by scent, since the lower part of my body would be a bit dirtied....and it wouldn't be from running through mud...

Steve

That thing is huge!!

Hey, do they have Muskies in Alaska?

Could we ship them some Leech Lake strain if not?

What I find amazing is the semi-auto 7MM Mag...

I own a 7MM Remington BDL bolt action and firing one round is recoil city
enough.

I can't imagine unloading a clip of 7MM's in quick succession.

I think that man deserves an award for facing the devil and having won!!!

My neighbor shot a bull moose that charged him quite a few years ago. he shot the doe and the bull was not happy about that. His guides ran off and his bad knee left him his only option. The hide weighed over 300lb and he had the head mounted, I forgot exactly how wide the rack was but it was well over 6ft.
