Hi Everyone,

Just Picked up a Calcutta TE and was considering sending it in for reconditioning. If memory serves me correctly, for around $20 or $30 they will go through, lube, replace etc. parts on the reel. Anyone ever do this and if so, how long did it take to get your equipment back?

Thanks

Steve

It's pretty quick Steve. And there's supposedly an expedited TE service, but I've had Trinidads, 400B's and TE's all go back and all be about the same time, but it's been two weeks or so. It's easy and you'll have them back by opener.

TE's ship back to you in either 24 or 48 hours of Shimano recieving them. Non TE's take about a week to 10 days to ship back.

I sent mine in earlier this winter and it took about 2 weeks. But I had to send it back since it was making noise and its been over 4 weeks so far...

I charge $24.00 a reel to Detail, Tune and Relube any Shimano Reel, plus parts, any reel I get in the next week or so I will have back to you by the end of April, I'm about 3 weeks out or less right now. I stock most parts for the 400B and the 400TE reels. I have done reels for Jim Saric, Chad Cain and Dick Pearson to name a few.
