my buddy and fellow muskiefirst member hchad is celebrating his one year sober from alcohol and is having an acrylic case made to display "basement" baits in his home to remind him of what helped him through his stuggle getting off alcohol and i believe the musky community has a large part in helping him keep going strong. We are looking for some cool basement baits for the case...not looking for handouts just unique basement baits for a good price towards a great cause!

thanks!

J

I had just read a PM from Chad and answered him back. I would be more than happy to be of service for him for a great purpose.
Chad has come a long way on his fight and he is deserving of help.
I'm aboard.

Chad, congratulations. I'm glad they put up your address.
I just celebrated my 23rd year of sobriety on March 22. Not bragging, but I remember my first year like it was yesterday.
One day at a time, Chad.
Keep it up, it is so worth it, isn't it?

Here's my contribution to Chad. It's actually a bait I built specifically for myself but when I heard of Chad's accomplishment, I wanted it to go to him. It's a cobra snake skin bait in a 6" minnow body built to dive shallow. Hope you enjoy it Chad!

Congrats Chad! Good for you.  Wow there are some nice baits in this thread!  My shop has been packed up the last month because I just moved, but I’m unpacking now and I’m hoping to get back to work on some new baits soon.  If you’re not done collecting by then, I’ll send you a prototype.

Just a suggestion here Chad, but I think you should organize or line up all the baits you have received and take a nice photo to show the guys on here...I'm sure they'd love to see them all together as well as I.

Can I just say so far this collection of lures looks at least as good as what was submitted for that basement builder's lure championship thing from awhile back? Really amazing work, everyone!

You’re welcome Chad, I hope you have good luck with it.  Sorry for the delay.  Those large cupped globe blades give a real nice sound.  They’re mounted on a rivet bearing so they run nice and smooth, but there’s some slop in the bearing that gives it some “tic-ing” too.  It’s a through wire construction resin bait.

That 18" Mega Bait is amazing! I have been looking around to find where I can buy Tim Novak's lures - there are some on ebay but I am looking for the red and black ones I have seen of his. Any ideas where/how I can track them down? I will pay top $$.
