Hello....was wondering how good a job the 7000i will do with double 10's....I realize its a heavier reel....but can the bigger spool retrieve the 10's easier without wearing you out.....compared to the revo toro 5.3:1.....thanks

I've used 7000's for years and they are fine for DCG's if you can get used to the weight of the reel.

The old push button one's where better then the lever models, but both work.

Yes and no. Tried the same concept last year for the first time. Ease of retrieve was about the same. Speed seemed pretty close too. Biggest difference for me was comfort for my left/non-reeling hand. Major hand cramping after the first day on LOTW. Switching to the Toro made a big difference. Didn't really make it any easier, just more comfortable. Tom

I use the 7000 for double tens. It has been a good reel for me.
