yes i did the unthinkable and left my depth finder in the covered boat out in the elements all winter! i was out for the first time yesterday and it would not power up...is it cooked from all the moisture?

i leave mine in my boat all winter covered and have never had an issue. But its built in my dash so it would be a pain to take out. I am not sure what happened to yours, but it should be able to survive moisture, maybe not freezing the moisture but they are built for marine environments. did you check your battery and fuses first?

I've never removed my depth finders over winter when I stored the boat in an unheated place. Never had an issue.

Good idea to double check battery charge, connections and fuses.
