| Does anyone out there own the Lamiglass or "Hughes River Jerkbait" Rod? Is it a stiff rod? How would it compare to the ST. Croix 6/9 Avid Series. Any other information about this rod would be helpful.
Thanks | |

| Got both rods. You can throw bricks with the Lammy. It's not a lite rod, but if you're throwing mag dawgs or big gliders its great. I wish it had st. c's fat cork grips. Anyway, its a great rod and I don't know what I would do without it. Most manufacturers wont tell you, weight reduction = strength reduction. Also,I cracked a tip top on my 8'6" Lammy and they sent me 5 different sizes. | |

| Mike, I have one ,it is pretty stiff great for trowing the heavy stuff Bulldogs, Hughes Rivers etc.. Well made, Love the rod. As compared to an avid though it will be much stiffer, the avids I have fished with are nice rods but pretty soft in the tip, also don't care for the short handle on the avid ,Just a personal preferance, My wife love hers ARTIE | |

| I have this rod and it is made for throwing large baits such as the 10 inch Hughes River. Large Bull Dawgs are also a breeze to fish with this rod. It is heavy but if you desire a tough rod for very large lures you won't be disappointed.
Good Luck, Murph | |
