Well, it was not a nice day.

Who took home the money?

Luke with 2 fish 34,30" -For Points

Rich Gallagher's boat partner with a 35.5" -Longest fish

There were about 5 other under 30" fish caught. 2 by me [:blackeye:]

It was fun and had a decent turnout. I can't wait till next year. Good job Joe and congrats "Red Pants!!" [:p]

Yep: I banged a monster 26"er! Phil you missed the update at about 2:15pm on the 35.5" via the radios. It was great to finally meet alot of the guys. My Spongebob voodoo doll really failed me! Maybe because it was hangin upside down most of the day. Didnt know the dang head was so heavy compared to those noodle legs. Did luke finally get a picture of the 34"? or did it go the way of the 30"?

The outing was a blast, even though Slamr and I didn't boat any fish. And yes Dave, there is a picture of Luke's 34"er.

A nice warm fall day to be out on the water. Slamr and I had 2 on, on suckers (missed them both [:(] ), and Slamr had two hits early and a small follow later in the day (25"er).

I'm next year also! as long as I can share a boat with Slamr again!!!

Yes, there is a picture. I heard they're having a criminal sketch artist draw a picture of the 30". I think that Luke aka 'ol red pants is having a drink with his toothless intoxicated friend at McDermotts. It was a blast and it was awsome meeting everyone.

Dave, I swear if that was you around that time me and pops heard some crazy shouting but couldn't understand it, was that you?
Ha ha - give it up for the under 30's!!!!

Congrats on Luke doubling up! I forgot about the distingusihed gentleman that luke befriended at Mcdermotts..but lets face it. That was all Gallaghers fault! LOL! Phil: There was some radio chatter about the 35.5". You could kinda tell he knew a 35.5 would probably hold up and it did so congrats for that fish as well. I had to go to my nieces b-day party, otherwise we would have probably boated another 4 20"ers the way our luck was going.

Great to meet the guys that post here. It is always nice to be able to put a face with a name. My hats off (and parka) to Luke and his partner! Well done under some rather tough conditions. To Frank M. that boated the 35-1/2" Good Job! I hope Goomba didnt tack on any sort of guide fee (LOL.) Great bunch of guys yesterday!

Well, now I need to get the tub ready for clients this coming weekend up in Vilas. The only tool I cant seem to find is my collapsable snow shovel!

The drunken gramdaddy introduced himself to Slamr, I'm a local, which Slamr responded with "you're kidding?" - made me laugh out loud. The old dude gets right up in my face with "you think that's funny?". I thought we were going to the mat. Man-0-man is there some trash on the chain. I wish Goomba would have had his fake hillbilly teeth with him becuase that would have been some funny stuff.

I still cannot believe I won the points with two little dinks but it was tough out there. I saw a pic of Frank's 35.5 which was a nice fat fish. What was odd was that all the fish that were caught were spotted fish. Weird that the green fish dissapeared after turnover and the spots show up. Pattern appeared to be sand with no weeds in shallow watter. I think everybody had a good time. Too bad we forgot to take a group picture. Maybe we can do it again next year.

Luke,
Come on you have to give the ol' man some credit he did catch a catfish on a night crawler about this big.
And if you did go to the mat and beat him he only had one tooth left to lose so it wouldn't have showed. LOL.

Trash on the chain? Naw, well okay yeah but as long as you can pull off the accent with a straight face like Goomba then you'll be just fine. [:p]

Guys,
I had a great time yesterday meeting & fishing with all you guys! Hope we can do this again next year. Congrats to Luke & his partner for moving lots of fish yesterday!

Congrats to my partner Frank Mortellaro on an excellent figure 8 fish who came up hot on his Fire Tiger shallow Rapala. He didn't miss a beat, set the hook, promptly free spooled her away from the boat and then followed with a quick CPR!! Too bad I got those musky canines punctured into my thumb! It looked like someone slaughtered a lamb in my boat, blood everywhere!!

I'm enclosing a jpg of Frankies 35.5 incher.

Lunchie,

Thanks for stepping up and organizing the outing. I had a great time fishing a meeting everyone. Would have been icing on the cake if I would have landed a fish. I did have a very nice fish hit a 10" jake trolling Catherine about 10 minutes after lunchie caught his 34"er.

Thanks everyone,

Niel

Rich,
Me and you both had the sacraficed lamb look in out boats, I got a set of teeth on one hand and a raker on the other. I guess it's better than not seeing any teeth though just a pain to get to stop bleeding.

I had the Micheal Jackson look going with the taped up fingers.

Just a thought, but do those of you who fish the chain usually have their 2-ways on them? Might not be a bad idea if we spot each other to keep them on channel 10 to swap notes. Just a thought.
