Any pros, I was wondering if you fish in this area at all? We have a place up there and were wondering what waters you fish and how well do you do there. Also, on what do you use to catch most of your fish?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

BrettC

Brett,

We just bought a place up in Boulder. I have been fishing up there for a long time but not yet this year.
We used to spend our family vacations going to Manitowish Waters. So the Manitowish Chain is one of my favorites. I have probably spent the most time on High Lake, just outside of Boulder. It has great cabbage and lots of good spots. The launch to get in there is kind of strange if you have never been there before which keeps the traffic on the lakes to a minimum. It is a long channel through old stumps and trees. I have had my best luck on the following baits: Joe's Bucktail - brown hair/silver blade, black hair/silver blade; Crane Baits - perch; Squirkos - perch and crappie; Topraiders. There are so many lakes around there that instead of going through lure dilemmas, you end up going through bait dilemmas.

Hope this helps. Best of luck!

Scott,

Thanks for all the help! We have a place on High Lake. We bought the place about a year ago over in Forest Lodge. We have our own private boat launch that is really nice. What are some of your better spots of seeing "big" fish? We've done well all the way around Frog Island for numbers, but really haven't seen too many big fish.

Thanks for the help,

BrettC

Brett, don't forget Fishtrap Lake. It is just through the culvert under the road, south of High. I believe the culvert is 84" wide. The bother to get there is worth the effort!

Scott

I emailed you with my email address. I don't know why it didn't work but it should because I'm always getting mail under the address.

Thanks again,

BrettC

Steve, what have been some of the best spots there on Fishtrap for you? We've actually fished Fishtrap about 1/3 of the time. What do you use and where?

Thanks,

BrettC
