Here is a small 4" tailbait that i was asked to do up. Kinda like a old pikie color. The pics dont show the gold sparkle well but i am pleased.

Looks good! Do you have any problems with the bait having such a small mass and the heavy tail cup, rolling during the retrieve?

That amount of cup is the starting point. When i tune it im sure i will have to take some out but i try to walk the line of having the max "pop" without the bait rolling. There is a bit of lead in the belly and the hook will add a little weight down ther as well to help with the rolling.

Runs good but i need to reshaft it with the right wire. I used welding rod to test it with while i have shafts on order

Sweet lure...I'm guessing a creek chub pattern? I see you got a little too close with one of the dots...I do that too sometimes, it gives the lure character IMO. And the red hook is a nice added touch of color.

Yup thats kinda the pattern. I never get too close on my dots..........that was done intentionally ..lol. it happens but the fish wont care. Thanks man
