Got it mounted on a 4' 1/2" pole. Should be fun
and i cant wait to get on the water. Any tips on using the cameras?

Yes Clueless. Good, very good. You get one of those so there can be some high quality video of the monsters I'll catch from your boat this summer! Muhahaha!

Nice mount! I'm waiting to use my gopro this summer for the first time. I've been playing around with it...I don't like the sound quality with it in the protective case. I'm looking to maybe use a velcro set-up with the gopro out of the case so the sound isn't so muffled and crappy.

Did you try the skeleton go pro case? I hear the quality is supposed to be little better, and still have protection just not water resistant. The camera with out the case is pretty fragile. Be careful with the velcro...

The book says about 2.5 hours. You can also buy a battery pack for it that adds quite a bit of time, they are like 50.00

I'd just use the velcro on a tripod in the boat...should work fine. I'll check out that skeleton case though. Thanks for the info.

I bought an extra battery when I got mine, so I always have a backup. If it's a pretty cool day on the water, it'll eat a battery in about 2 hours of run time. If it's a nice warm day, I'll get around 5 hours out of each battery. The biggest thing is just making sure it's always filming!! It may prove to be a little difficult on a mount vs. On your hat, but I like to start a new video roughly every 5 minutes or so. It saves ALOT of time later on at the computer!! I found out the hard way that it's not very exciting sifting through 30 min. Of video to find a follow!!

That looks like one hell of a "G-job". Nice looging mount. That baby would retail for $1000...

Couldn't agree more with making sure it's filming. Caught a nice 45" ski last fall only to find out I set everything up and thought I hit the right button to film but must have messed something up. Got some real nice still pics though.

I think I may have to look into putting one of these is my boat no only to catch all of the moments but also my cousin swearing when a musky follows and doesn't take the bait.

I got one of these for Christmas and want to use it to capture underwater footage of following fish. Anyone see any mounts out there that for something like that? I may end up trying to build my own out of PVC pipe if there's nothing available.

I have a great idea for a mount that would do that. 1" tube that clamps on one of your rails it could come out a couple inches past the side of your boat to a clamp that holds another piece of stainless 1" that can slide up and down to get the camera as deep or shallow as you want....now if i only had the money to purchase another camera

Looks like someone knows somebody that works in a hospital! You have room on that pole for additional cameras mounts too. Very nicely done!
