Does anyone fish 8 inch flukes for muskies? I was at a local tackle shop and they had 8 inch packs of flukes on sale for cheap so I went ahead and bought a few packs in hope of catching some spring time muskie on them!

In the one river I fish flukes work great. We usually catch them when we rip the bait hard then let it do like a dead drop. That's when they normally hit it. I prefer the pearl pattern since it looks natural in the water. I have also used them to jig with some success!

I use flukes extensively during the summer months. I use either the bass sized flukes or the larger ones rigged weightless. I use heavy spinning tackle to burn them on the surface fast enough to get them to hop out of the water. Never seem to have any luck when they stay below the surface. Rip them fast for a few feet then let them sink for a few seconds.
