What a great looking show! It looks like there is a great deal of variety here. This seems like a good mix of "old school" and everything else that is new in the musky world. There's also a drink cart! Leinies, lures and lots of people that want to talk muskies. Let's hope that this is an every year event. See you here....stop in and say hi.

Guest - 3/1/2012 9:58 PM Opening speaker is Tony Rizzo at 3 pm. Tony hasn't given a seminar in over 10 years. Here is your opportunity to learn from a legend.
Would have loved to see him. Wish he was booked a little later---I have this J-O-B thing I do at 3:00 on Fridays.
+1 to this.

Went to the show last night. Walked in a little after 2:00pm when the doors opened. I must say, that is the way to do it! Get there early before the crowd and take a peek at all the goodies then go back and load up on lures.
Got to speak with Tony Rizzo. What a great guy. He is like a walking history book of musky fishing. Got to look through his pictures of big muskies and he even signed a book I brought in. Took in Tony's seminar also. Lots of great info and old fishing stories to boot!
Spoke at length with Rich Reinert also. First met Rich at the bait shop up in Hayward. Used to go in there for the latest info and Rich would always mark up my map and give the kids lures. (which he still does at his presentations). Rich gave a great presentation on lures and when to use them under what conditions. Several free lures given away. (wife scored a sweet weighted 7" Suick) Good to see you again Rich, also nice to meet your wife.
Pearson Lures was not there. I was told this was due to illness. There was a limited number of Pearson lures at the Ross's tackle booth though.
All in all, great show. Will definitely be back next year.

The Wisconsin Musky Expo has been a pleasant surprise for a lot of musky hunters. Pleanty of great vendors, some that you don't see at other shows. The seminars have been standing room only. Sunday's speakers will start with Steve Worrall at 10:30, talking about how different lures sound under water. You will actually be able to hear the sounds the bait makes. Next up will be Dustin Carlson at noon. Dustin, and his crew of guides, without a doubt, are the go to guys if you are headed to the St. Louis River. Dustin guided a client to a huge tiger this past season and he will be talking about how to catch those big fish in his neck of the woods. The final speaker of the day will be Musky Matt. He guides in the Eagle River area. The doors open at 10 am and we are looking forward to seeing you there.

Found out why Pearson Plugs wasn't there. Fred was admitted to the hospital with double pneumonia. Sorry to hear that Fred. Was looking forward to meeting you. Your baits are outstanding. Ross's Sport Shop had a limited supply and they were gone after the first day. Hope to see you nex year. Get better soon.

Terriffic Show! This was my first musky show. I brought my 10yr son, and he had a great time. There were plenty of vendors with a wide variety of musky fishing needs, and we walked away with some great musky lures. We look forward to next the 2nd Annual Wisconsin Musky Expo in 2013.
