Does anyone use straight mono line casting for muskies? Any input would be appreciated!

Spinning tackle and Creatures, for me it's monofilament. Everything else it's superline.

Back in the days of Dacron I used to switch to mono in freezing weather used to feel like I was fishing with a rubber band.

I use 30 lb pline cxx a lot. It's a copoly not a mono though. It's less stretchy then a typical mono and it's very strong. It's also thicker than most 30lb monos. 80lb superlines are easier to break from my experience.

I would of recommened trying Cortland's Musky Mono but sadly it is no longer made. I use Big Game now but might give Vicious Off Shore a try.I see that Jim Saric trolls with it. kdawg
