Looking at possibly buying a 618t just wondering if a 54" terrova is long enough, and possibly any other acessories that are a must have. Thanks much for any info

no..get the 60" for sure....if you fish any bigger waves you'll need all of it....if mk made a 64 or 68"er I'd buy it..you can always raise the collar in shallow water but you can't make the shaft longer when the going gets rough if you only have 54"...

I agree with Brad as well. I have a 681vs and need all of the 60" from time to time. It's nice to have it when I need it. Some Tonka cruisers can still easily get my TM out of the water with the 60".

Agreed, I had a 60 inch shaft on my 618vs and big waves would pop it out of the water once in awhile. Always get the longest one it can't hurt.

I've got a 618T and have a 60 in terrova and in big waves have had it come out of the water.

690T here, and while 60" is long enough 93.2385% of the time, the other 6.7615% I sometimes wish I had more. Get the longest one offered for that tiller rig, unless you'll never be on anything over 400 acres in calm weather.
