| What the ____?! Snow?! What is this snow that you speak of?!~ 65 degrees here this morning at 8am...we'll be in the 70s today. I see trees with some buds on them already...spring flowers are coming up already.
Winter 2011/2012: The Winter that never was.
Will be doing spring fertilizer on the yard here this week or weekend...getting new spark plugs for the lawn mower and weed eater to get them ready...and our lakes barely froze this winter...maybe a few inches at most...but for the most part, were open all winter long.
I'm so envious! 12 - 20" of snow and more on the way!!!! I'd give both my n_ts for that kind of snow right now!!!! You guys are LUCKY!!!!

Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | I'm not sure that lucky is the word for it taking me 1.75 hours to drive 6 miles.... I would rather it have stayed away... last year mother nature killed us... I was hoping she was going to give us a break this year, but no...

| I'd give anything to be delayed by snow right now!!! We had three individual snow falls this winter season which netted us 1" of snow during each of those three snowfalls for a season snowfall total of 3". Whoooop-de-friggin'-dooooooo! Such and insult...salt in my wounds.
Can ya tell I like the snow?
Yes. I fully realize I live in the wrong state.... *sigh*

Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | I like snow to, just not 20 inches in one sitting.... if it were one of the situations where I was able to be delayed... u know late for work, no work at all... that would be GREAT! but not the case, boss called last night and said "better be on time tomorrow!". I knew there was nothing I could do... could not make any excuse at all. bummer. well I am hearing 50 degrees next week so it wont stay that is for sure. |

| We'll have windows down driving in the car today...will probably get a first-of-the-season sun burn too.... unreal...and we're really not all THAT much further south than you guys. It's not like I'm in Florida or something...just Indianapolis, IN....
I'll go home on my lunch hour and open up the windows in the house today too to air things out....may as well... |

| Thing is...we have nearly 10 months out of the year of rolling around with windows down in the car...10 months out of the year with 60+ degree weather...it's not too much to ask for to maybe change things up a bit to 4 months of Winter weather.
Point I'm getting at...there's plenty of time throughout the year for it to be warm. All the water is open down here...c'mon down. Have at it. I've been our a couple of times already this year...as you know...no closed season in IN....and that's not necessarily a good thing... |

Location: Buffalo Grove, IL | Full on open water here north of Chicago. Today's temps are in the 50's. Might have had maybe a couple of weeks where ice was safe enough to be on, but not now. They predicted we would have more snow that average this year, but out of 3 storms we have had maybe a foot total by my house. Can't remember a winter when we have had such little snow and above average temperatures. I have even heard about guys fishing the Fox Chain for muskies already. Not often you can open water fish for pre-spawn muskies in February. |

Mack - What is the minimum size limit for Muskys in Indiana?
Size limit here in Indiana? HUGE size limit: 36"
Snow to the north...Tornado's to the south.
We hit 72 Degrees here today when I was out and about around 1pm...people out in shorts and t-shirts...high-pressure, not a cloud in the sky...
Tornado's wreaking havoc down in Branson, MO today...not good...

Location: Not far enough north! | I am a little jealous of the snow but 20 inches in a day would be a little tough. Has only snowed twice this winter and was gone by noon both times. It was 65 here today but with sustained winds of about 30 and gusts to 45... The crocuses have been blooming for a few days and I saw a dafodil today. Iv'e got four calves on the ground and this warm weather is a blessing for the little ones. But it thundered in January here so we will probably have snow in march. It all usually evens out in the end. |

| Wow. I got sunburned today washing my truck. Normally, I'd be overjoyed at the prospect of a 60 plus day in February, but I got a snowblower for Christmas, and I have used it twice all winter, both of which times I could easily have used a shovel instead. Sorry for you guys getting hung up on the road up there, but we needed th snow in Vilas. |

| Sled, how does that four wheeler work when plowing wet heavy snow like that? We hope to move full time in next couple years to where we have a little three season cottage near Rhinelander and the drive way is long. Not looking forward to snow blowing it. |

| Now see.....THAT's what I call a snow! THAT is the way it SHOULD be....each Winter season, starting on Nov 1st and lasting till Feb 28th/29th each year! With no thawing at any given point in between. Solid snow for four months. And I'm not talking a piddly 8 to 10 inches either.
I love those times when out West in the mountains they'd get 1 to 2 to even at times 3 feet in a given day's time....good snow... |

this was "THE" test. i had a blower on my tractor for years and finally got sick of 1. removing and replacing mower deck/blower and 2. storing the stupid thing, so i got the blade on the ATV. i love it because now i rarely have to do the plowing because the kids love to do it and it's really convenient and a money/time/storage saver in the long run.
i have it on a 450 Grizzly and faced 18" of snow from a dead start in the garage and i figured the odds were against me to make the first run without getting stuck in which case i was phuckled. i lowered the blade about half way and blasted off ... made it!! i cleaned the driveway and our road just fine with it and only used a half a tank of gas.
you will love it! ... after this snowfall i'm going to put a blade on my 2nd ATV so that we can have 2 running at the same time.
