Anyone have experience trolling 12" big games?

I tried it for the first time last year (just a little bit) and couldn't seem to keep the bait from kicking out. If anyone has some tips on what speed is good or anything on trolling these baits it would be much appreciated. I hear they are big fish killers and would like to start using them more.

I love my Big Games. I typically dont run them much more than 3.75mph. I assume that the bait is out of tune.

I would agree with Kevin. Sounds like the bait is out of tune. I generally don't run them faster than 3.5mph and haven't had any blow out issues myself. Top speed seems to be about 4.5mph for them. Play with the line tie to tune it in and keep running these great baits. You'll get bit

I agree with the others. I trolled them a lot in 2011 and even short lined at 3.5mph they dug down pretty good.

Where the line is tied to the lure bend this side to side to tune the lure to run straight. Pull the lure next to the boat to see if it runs to one side or another.
