Looking at planning a trip for a group of guys. Only 2 of us are "true" musky fishermen. The rest would love to catch them but don't have the tackle. They enjoy walleye, northerns, bass, crappies. I am trying to decide between these 3 areas of LOTW.....definitely like the drive to option the most and probably looking at Late July/Early August. Any suggestions on which area offers the best multispecies fishing AND quality musky fishing for guys like me!

Go to the Morson area, not sure where to tell you to stay on the main-land, many choices. I will be up there July 21-28. Maybe get-together for a beer.

SLEDGE!!! How the heck are ya! Would love to join you but this trip won't be until next summer unfortunately. I was thinking about either Red Wing Lodge or Mylies place in that area just because they are easy to drive to. Not sure what the boat ride in resorts are like and how much limit there is on weight and stuff.
We BEST be getting together this spring sometime for some lunging!!!

Every area on LOTW has what you're asking for. Yes, it's that good of a lake. July and August are probably going to be booked up for most folks. Last I checked, Mylies was booked solid in July (check their website or just call). Not sure about Red Wing and Buena Vista Resort is down the road from both of those.

The only thing to be said about LOTW is that in the NW Angle and Sabaskong the consensus appears to be that these areas have greater numbers, but maybe not the size, than an area like Kenora/Big Narrows. So if you really want to catch a muskie then I would head to either the NW Angle or Sabaskong Bay.

Drive to spots in the Morson area would be Mylies Place, Buona Vista and Red Wing.

I own Tamarack Island Wilderness Lodge, which is a boat in. but feel free to check out the other boat in resorts in the area. Grassy Narrows Lodge, Miles Bay Camp, Obabikon Bay Camp, Spruce Island Camp, Young's Wilderness Lodge, Duck Bay to name but a few.

We all have something special to offer, and would be happy to host you. Happy shopping.
