Suckers, jerks and twitches on the edges. Sounds like most of the people I hang out with.

Bergy, the muskies are working the weed edges as of this week. Most of the fish I caught last week came from suckers, casting Slammers, Suicks, Phantoms, Undretakers and Power Probes have moved fish for me. Both of the hits have been on the Suick. These fish have been sluggish when it comes to the figure 8, but the suckers are doing there job for these fish. Six fish last week and only two were caught casting, a 43inch and a 36inch. This weekend should be very good and a sucker over the side of the boat will increase you odds by 50% or better. They can be a pain in the a$$ but you can't beat the results. I will be out Saturday afternoon, I have a Ranger620VS in cranberry color. If you see me stop by I will try to help you out with some pointers. Mike[:praise:]

Hey Extreme, I'll be heading to Pewaukee this weekend. Where's the best place to pick up a sucker or two?
Thanks.

was out from about 9 to 3 yesterday, mainly fished green weed beds and occasionally fishing deep with bull dawgs and depth raiders. Didn't even move a fish.
How did everyone else do?

Vman we moved 5 fish friday, most were in the 36 to 40 inch class size. Saturday we boated a 35 incher and had a 40-41 incher smack a Suick but no hooks found a home. Shep stuck a nice 44 inch muskie on a 8 inch Reef Hawg around 10am. We got off the water by 11am and heard some stories about the ones that got away from suckers rigs. From the guys that fished Sunday I was told it was slow going. With the clock changes this weekend fishing after work will be hard, only a hour to fish, might not be worth the effort but you will never know unless you try. Good luck to all!!![;)]

Mike, thanks for the update. Good to hear you guys had a successful day.
You ever try trolling at night this time of year?
I don't want to wait till the weekend.

Vman I would use Slammer Deep Divers, Depth raiders and Believers at night. Friday night a friend of mine called me two hours after dark and told me of a 45 he just boated. Yes you can catch muskie after dark but they don't come easy. Don't get hung up in one pattern, try deep water, breaks, flats and weed edges. The fish can be anywhere now. I would try deep then move to the flats then to the weed edges. Good luck and post your results for others to see.[]
