Location: 15 miles east of Lake Kinkaid | Make a leader with haywire twists on both ends using 184-240lb single
Strand wire. If you want to put a snap on one end Sta-Lock snaps work great. |

Location: Maplewood, MN | Its not as cost efficient, but I just cut off the swivel. Saves the hassle trying to find swivel-less leader. |

  | I use a straight 130lb Stealth Leader straight from the pack and I haven't had any issues. I don't like throwing small, light gliders with them, but as long as the lure is 6" and up they work fine. This year I'm replacing the stock #5 Stay-Lok snaps with #4.5s. Not sure if that's going to make a difference, but I'm hoping the smaller snap will allow the smaller gliders to work better. The #5 is huge, but the #4.5 seems perfect.

When I go through all of my current leaders I'm planning on getting Stealth to make me a few custom leaders. I'm thinking 10" to 12" 130lb fluorocarbon with a solid ring on one end and (as of now) a #4.5 Stay-Lok snap on the other. In my mind that's the perfect jerkbait leader, but I'm excited to see how one really performs. |

  | You can also buy flouro on a spool and tie your own. You can pick up welded rings for each end and then attach the glider with a split ring. I know TB has the material, not sure about Rollie and Helens This leader is very light and they glide pretty darn good with this setup. That said, I didn't notice a HUGE difference from premade leaders. |

Location: Canada | I just picked up a dozen steel jerkbait leaders from Huskie Muskie leaders, I have them made without the swivel ( I straight tie to the leader ) and no staylock snaps ( split ring from the leader to the lure ). |

Location: Manitowish Waters WI | I have been tying my fluoro diectly to my line and running a 5 staylock. I'm also going to try out some rolling corkscrew swivels this year as well. My fluoro is running about 20 inches for night fishing, nice to feel the knot instead of a barrel swivel going through your first eye |

As already mentioned, Stealth Tackle makes an excellent leader that fits this description. I have them in stock at Musky Tackle Online.
