Location: Central WI | I just got an IWATA dual action airbrush. I've never used an airbrush before and am looking forward to trying it out. I figured I would start off by spraying one of my Suicks that needs a color change. I was wondering what kind of prep the Suick will need before I paint it? I figure I'll sand it and primer it...anything else? Any help would be great. Thanks! |

Location: Hugo, MN | Just scuff it up with some 400 grit or a scotch-brite pad and wipe it clean with some denatured alcohol before spraying over it. You can do that with any bait that doesn't have an epoxy clearcoat. |

Location: Central WI | Thank you for the replies! I appreciate the help. I got the airbrush yesterday and still haven't had the chance to hook it up yet...two kids under the age of three keep me busy in the evenings I love the baits I've seen posted on this site. Lots of talented people on here. I'm looking forward to doing some spraying. |

Even with epoxy you can use 4oo or finer, Just buff the shine off and clean real good. You are ready to spray.
