| awesome, that place rocks. I was there almost the same week this summer. You guys will like it. The bloom was pretty heavy duty some days, but there was clear water to be found, will be a great time.

| I think it would be awesome if we could get DougJ and/or Darcy Finlan to stop for a visit, a day of fishing with us, or maybe a seminar! I'd pitch in for gas money or whatever, if they could find the time to get there.[:p] |

| Shepster, they do have a Doug Johnson that guides for them. This Doug Johnson is out of Nestor Falls,not the one we all know from the angle. He did help a bunch of guys get some fish when they stayed at Sabaskong bay Lodge last summer. Never fished with either of the Doug's, but the name seem's to go hand in hand with Muskies.[:bigsmile:] |

I'm sending my deposit today.
Can I reserve Wednesday morning in YOUR BOAT?? That seems to be about the time you usually snatch the big fish for the week, and I'm one-for-one as a net man!!
Might be bringing along some of the Papa Joe Posse this time, watch for Schram and Coach Bob, maybe even Steve & BooBoo in the Filthy Whore 2 1974 Ranger pirate ship.
So this place is an island resort? Does that mean we need to arrive at a certain time of day to get a ride over there?
I was a little confused about that. Perhaps someone who's been there can clarify...do we park and grab a shuttle boat to the lodge?
I would suspect the boat launch for those bringing boats would be near the parking area described as Pier North.
Thanks again for setting this up; it will be like a dream coming true up there!!

Getting to the island shouldn't be a problem. I will try to get some arrangement for the Lodge to run some shuttles. Otherwise, I expect that some of us attendees could help out in that regard, for those that aren't bringing boats. There is a parking and launch area for the lodge in Hansen Bay near the marina there. We will have complete details available well before the event.
The ride to the lodge from the launch will depend on the boat you have, and how loaded down it is. I think GregM said something like 6 miles? 15 minutes or so in his boat? |

| You can count on that Papa Joe, the only thing that might affect that is the possiblity of my wife coming. She is interested and loves fishing muskies in Canada.
Its going to be a fun week up there!!!!

| Pretty unlikely I can convince my wife to let me go to canada for a SECOND week next year. But, I'd like to pass along that the owners of Sabaskong Bay Lodge are top notch. They helped me troubleshoot some boat problems last year and even helped me re-wire my trolling motor.... and I wasn't even staying there!
Great location too. Puts you in the heart of Sabaskong. I personally have caught fish up to 45 inches right on the shores of Cedar Island. The old "generator house" for the Lodge was a real hotspot[;)]

If you wife goes along I could probably get Deb to go. I want to make sure and get to the Cass outing so if I go to Canada it will be with her or I'll be sleeping in the shop.

The economy will come around hopefully long before this event..will give you time to "head hunt" and earn some cash again... I would think you could ride along with one of us.
