So my girlfriend's parents own some land on Windfall Lake near Exeland just off Highway 40 north of Bruce. I looked up the lake on Lake-Link and they say it has muskies in it. This lake is only about 100 acres but I thought I would do some casting from shore if there really are muskies present. Does anyone know if they are in there?

I figured no one had fished this mud puddle but I thought it was worth a shot. I'll throw some baits up there this summer and let you guys know if I have any luck. Surprises me that muskies are in there but two sites reference them so we will see.

There is a small Windfall Lake in southern Forest County, which has muskies. Maybe you have the two confused.

Like Semper I have also fished Windfall for pan fish and have never caught or seen a musky in that lake. I have also seen Lake-Links little write up on this lake. I'm guessing if there were fished stocked in the lake. They're no longer present.

There are muskies stocked every other year in the small Windfall Lake in southern Forest Co.

In regards to Windfall in Forest Co. A few of us stopped and fished that little pond on the way to another lake in the area one day. I remember the weeds were so thick up to the surface going into the back section of the lake (which wasn't all that big anyways) that my trolling motor could not even power through them. Electric motors only. Never saw a fish. But then again we cruised the shoreline quick and moved on. IMO there are much better lakes in the area to fish.

I don't think that is the lake the author is referring to though. His directions don't sound familiar at all anyways.

Its not the Windfall Lake in Forest county, its in Sawyer. I just wanted to know if anyone knew if there were muskies present, so I wasn't the idiot throwing for muskies when there aren't any in there. I don't plan on making a special trip just to muskie fish but if the girlfriend wants to head up there for the weekend, I thought I would throw some baits. However, I know of better lakes right around that area and probably wont waste my time. Thanks for the input
