| Okay, for all of you gill killers--particulary the king of the gill killers--with ice water in your veins: Isn't it unusual to catch a northern pike after dark? I'm responding to the current video, of course. What is your experience? |

Location: Smith Creek | Pretty unusual but not unheard of. Kind of like a pike swimming with its head out of the water. Not an everyday occurance but most people have experienced it. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | We do pretty well on larger Pike after dark on some water during the winter. If we spend the night on the right water, we expect to catch a couple, but not as many as in the daylight and the quality is usually better.

Location: Minnesota | On most lakes, gators after dark is a rarity. You might get the random confused or angry northern that takes a swipe at your bait, but you're better off spending your time targeting crappies or eyes at night. |
