Planning to hit these two lakes this year, but have never fished them. Hooking up with a buddy of mine to do some muskie fishing, but am curious as to the main type of forage in there. Also, any suggestions how to fish these two lakes would be appreciated. Thanks

I've only fished these lakes a few times but from what I've always been told its Shad, Shad, and more Shad.

The main forage in most of our Indiana lakes is Gizzard Shad. The younger juvenile shad range from 6-10 inches and the adult shad range from 12-18 inches. Other popular forage include golden shiners and suckers.

If the boat traffic is too much when you visit webster go down the road a couple miles to the south west and try the Barbee Chain. There is a speed limit on all the lakes except one, for those days when jet skies and skiers drive you crazy.
