| I have yet to lose a lure, but it wouldn't be my first choice in line. It will work, but I found that it frays/wears easier than other braids. |

Location: Yahara River Chain | I'm not a fan either. It seems to me when I get a backlash with that stuff, I have to use a line pick to get it out. Cortland or Cabela's Ripcord, most times I just need to yank on the line an it comes out. If I HAVe TO use power pro it wold be 100# and up. |

Location: Detroit River | I've been using 80 Lb PP for 2 seasons now & no complaints. I like to try new line when it comes out so I plan on buying some of the new Power Pro Super 8, which is supposed to be similar to the Suffix 832.

Location: Okoboji | not a fan either,,,lost baits, loses color fast, harsh texture, knotty backlashes, i will be using 832 in place of powerpro this year on my jerkbait rods. i love the tuff line for my trini and torium. |

| ive also been using 80lbs power pro and have no complaints at all. I use 65lbs 832 on my tiger rods and that stuff seems to lose color immediately. Both overall good lines though I plan on trying some new ones this season like the super slick and maybe 80lbs 832 or cortland |

Location: Central Minnesota | Ive used Power Pro for 3 years and I like it. Although I havent tried many other braids. I use to use the old Tuf Line salt and pepper. Might have to try 832 this season. |

Location: APPLETON, WI | Not a fan of Power Pro either. I just didn't care for the rigidity... my own personal opinion.
I've got 80lb. Spiderwire Stealth on all my reels except for my jerkbait reel and for that, I went with 80lb. Cortland Masterbraid. No issues with either of them. |

Location: Oregon | It's awesome, have never lost a fish due to line failure and I put it to the serious test with sturgeon and salmon every year. I will say though that I haven't tried many of the new braids on the market because of my luck with PP so I can't comment on the other options out there.

Location: Lakeville, MN | I've only used Powerpro (80/100lb) moss green, and like how stealth it is in the water I fish. It is however rough on my thumb and can be tough to fix backlashes. I have friends that use salt/pepper Tuff line referred to earlier, which seems easier to handle and easier to fix a backlash, but I can't get over how it looks like a rope in the water.
I like PP, and I know different versions of it are out now, but after reading these posts, I think I'll give Cortland Masterbraid a shot.

Location: Oregon | Just an observation....I live in the Northwest and out here literally 90% of the guys are using either Tuffline or PowerPro but we are mostly trolling or anchor fishing for salmon and sturgeon. It seems that the guys that are doing more casting have a wider range of line preferences.
The best way to find out is to buy several of them and try them out for yourself.

| anyone use the 832 ghost line? a while ago I tried that spiderwire invisibraid but thought it was junk starting fraying and after 2 days of fishing I had a spool full of staind brown green line. does the 832 compare at all to that? |

Location: Davenport, IA | Other braids are little less noisy, but its going to be louder than mono. Tuff-line (any version) is probably the limpest out there and is very strong, but it absorbs a lot of water. I've used it for a long time but I am blown away by how little water the Suffix 832 holds. Now that my 1200 yard spool of Tuff-Line XP is all gone I will be using 832 for all braid application. |

| I watched Power pro break on one of my buddies backlashes. I also watched it break on a hookset on real nice musky that hit my quick strike rig. 1 big fish with a quick strike rig stuck in its mouth was enough for me to switch. |

| i think break offs could be attributed to several other factors other than the brand of the line...ive used power pro since I got my first muskie set up and its still on all of them other then 65lbs 832 on my smaller setups for hybrids and northerns. never once had an issue with power pro though it seems many others have. also my buddy had 832 80 lbs on all his reels and lost several lures to break offs which he contacted suffix about and they replaced his line no questions asked...
maybe its not the brand of line but just that particular spool that has issues? who knows |

Location: Maryland | Not a fan of PP either, at least not for muskies. I use PP 30lb on my spinning rods for pickeral and bass but it does lose color fast. I use 80lb Suffix lines for all my muskie reels. Never had a problem... |

| go with power pro you wont be disapointed. i use this for pike, musky, and bass.i have never had a problem with this line. but hearing from everyonelse they get bad backlashes. i hav never had a bad backlash with this. if you are not good with baitcasters then try something else a little smoother. but if you dont get a lot of backlashes then go with the powerpro braid. |
