If you're going to use it for bucktails get a Toro. The Curado isn't much of a bucktail reel.

I have 5 curados and they work great for bucktails, I love them. Either choice is acceptable, with the winch you will have less offert turning the handle but you will be turning it more, with the curado you will use more effort to urn the handle but you will turn it less.

There is no magic here, Do you want to turn the handle 30% less times with 30% more effort, or turn 30% more times with 30% less effort.

Both reels have proved to be reliable, some people will make accusations but they are both good reels.

That's not to say I don't like Curados. I actually like them better than Toros in general, but I've used both for bucktails and prefer Toros for that purpose by a long shot.

I had a Curado and as much as I liked it it really didn't feel right for whatever reason. Bought myself the Revo Toro Winch and can't put it down, had to buy another in high speed the next year for my jerk bait rod. I don't often cast cranks but when I do I use my rod with the Winch on it.

I have a Toro 50 and a Curado 300. I like both but I'd go with the Toro.

I would like to clarify, I know this thread has been discussed in a million posts on a million sites. It will divide the room into two halfs quicker than the reds vs blues.

So to sum it up my comment was ment for both sides (weather your a fan of curados or revos), and i am not singleing a single person out. Just that the person using it will have to make a comfort call because both reels are good reels. IMO that isnt debatable, as both have proved to be good reels.
