My apologies if this has been discussed recently.  I did a search and didn't come up with anything this specific.  I usually take a break from the forums in the dead of winter...

I'm pretty much a die hard Abu Garcia Revo Toro fan...  I've got all three models (5.4, 4.6 and 6.4:1).  Now that the 5.4:1 is gone aside from the occasional stray eBay auction, what's the latest and greatest replacement?  What was the buzz and/or consensus according to iCast this year?

If possible, I'd like to get one more musky rod/reel combo sometime this season and the one that's lacking in my arsenal is a rod/reel combo for big rubber/plastics.  I believe for big rubber/plastics, I want something in the mid-gear ratio range, don't I?  The current 5.4:1 Revo I've got is on my Mag Heavy TI rod that I use for topwater, spinnerbaits, general use, etc, etc.  I want to get the Mega Heavy TI rod for big rubber and hence, the need for another mid-gear ratio reel.

Thoughts?  Steve?  Pikemaster?  Anyone?

I've got a new, never used 5.4:1 Toro 50 that I could sell if you want it. I assume you are using the 60, but I figured I would throw it out there if you were interested. If so, shoot me a PM.

so they still make and sell the 5.4 gears but not the 5.4 reel itself?

YES for about $50.00 plus you can make a 4.6 or 6.4 into a 5.4:1

Peter:

I found one online.  I'll shoot you a PM.

I don't think I was gonna find a better deal than that.  Already got my tracking number and it's on the way.  I really didn't want to spend $200.00 on another reel... but I love my Revos too much not to have something I'm already familiar and comfortable with.
