Nice job with the lure contest - some very sweet submissions. Is there a way to contact the lure builders. I'd like to connect with John Eversoll - I think that's the guy who built that neat little muskie crankbait with the open mouth that incorporated the lure's diving paddle as the lower jaw. PM me with his contact info or send him mine. Thanks again!

I'd love to see some photos, as well... were photos of the individual lures taken? I tried to watch the videos, but got frustrated by the focusing, and movement through all of them. I love the idea of the contest, and hope to enter someday as I get better at my craft. But if it's going to continue, I think greater exposure of individual entries would increase future involvement.
If there weren't photos taken at the show, did any of those participating take a shot of their submission?

Still photographs preferred for next year- it would do the baits much more justice IMHO, hopefully next year this is taken into account. You could even allow internet voting.

....... So I probably shouldn't have looked at these right before I was going to crawl into the basement and work on some lures. But I guess I know what I have to aspire to! Goal for next year: have something to submit that I won't be embarrassed by.
Thanks for posting the photos, Steve! And Mark, that thing is beautiful. I know it gets said pretty regularly in the Basement section, but I'd be scared to throw that thing, for fear of all the tooth-damage it would suffer.

Don't sweat it, just do what you want. Remember, after all the flash and flair, when the gills and eyes fade, a black Suick will outcatch them all.
I'm very happy with what I made, in fact I paid $100 to have the right to fish with it, and I'll proudly post the pictures of the fish that I catch with it. So too the small Perch Crank I bought. This was for charity, there are no winners or losers. Wish more people would have treated it like an auction.....let's remember that next year. Let me enter 10 lures so there is more money for charity. Let everyone enter as many lures as they want, maybe that way I can get a genuine "Snow" lure.
