I am looking at getting a new trolling motor and I really like the power drives. Will the 70lb w/ 60"shaft push my boat ok?

I would think you should be fine with something in that 70-80lb range... However I have not heard a real lot of good things about the power drive units... I had a couple of them and never had problems but have heard bad stories from others. Also is not as user friendly as the Terrova if you ever want to add the ipilot....

They also have rebates on the Terrovas right now... something you may want to consider... Just my Opinion...

I would say that a 70 lb. would be the absolute minimum...therefore I would recommend something in the 101 lb. class. I have had powerdrives and really no issues but I agree with mattgski on the Terrova.

If you can spring for the 80 lb Terrova, I'd recommend that. Always get "as much" trolling motor as you can afford. The 70 lb would work but the 80 Terrova would be ideal.

I have a 70lb 24voltz PD autopilot and love it. Will pull all day, besides in the biggest winds or heavy current. If you fish small to medium lakes you will never have a problem.
