| I'll be honest...to find "good fishing"..I don't know of my places that are going to fit that budget. I've been to Canada at least 75 times and you get what you pay for.... |

| I haven't done a drive to walleye/pike trip in over 10 years - but for 5 straight years I went to Gullrock lake near Red Lake, Ont. 50 walleyes over 22" and 5 pike over 40" was about an average day. There are definately high 40" pike in the lake. The camp was www.goldenhookcamp.com .. I assume the fishing is still pretty good. It was only $350 a person with boat back then...I see they have raised rates a little |

Location: Ontario | Check out the Bay of Quinte-area from Trenton to Desoronto. Not far from the NY border in Eastern ON. There's nowhere like it for walleyes. And pike are everywhere and considered the 'trash fish.' It's a big arm off Lake Ontario and if you check the map, very close to a muskie river some guys may have heard of (St.Lawrence).
I fish it every December for walleyes. Trolled a total of about eight days this year. You will lose count of the fish over eight pounds. Fish over ten are the only ones that get the camera, fish over twelve are very common. Biggest for me is two smelts shy of 16lb and change (not a eurozander, either), had a double last Dec right at dusk the one day of 13.5s. Only on BOQ does stuff like this happen. Took two virgins last Fall who had never caught a walleye. Troy's first two were 11.5 and 9.5, Cory's first was a 13.5 lol. It's a migratory and resident fishery for walleyes. Spring and summer the really big walleyes are not quite as common as in late fall and winter when they come in/out from the big lake, but the overall biomass of walleye is staggering. The total oppposite of a fly-in in every sense..you take 4 lane hiway to get there and are within less than an hour of several small to mid-sized cities. There are lots of outfitters, resorts and a few guides also. You can jig, bottom bounce or crank weedlines for the walleyes, also board troll. Pike get up to 40in and are everywhere (It's Lake Ont, which is full of very nice pike) and like all the regular stuff like spinnerbaits, jerkbaits. What this region lacks in the "money shot tv pike action" it more than makes up for in numbers or very nice walleyes. Plus perch, crappie and loads of both basses. Out in the big lake you can do the salmon-trout thing too. Not many guys talk about this area as a trip option and I can tell you its a very good one. Lots of the resorts will be already stacked for this spring. Check out www.quintefishing.com. Great group of guys, pm me if I can be of any more help. There aren't many places I will trailer 3.5hrs in mid-December for a day trip, Quinte is one of them--it can be that good. The warm water fishery is just as good and more diverse. Just another option that you might want to look at. Like I said, this is not at all what most Americans think of when they want pike and walleye up in 'Key-Anada.'
And with that, he cracks the 300 Post Milestone! Concussion-Free, I will be gunnin for 600 by 2055. |

| Clarks camp is on the Indian lake chain just about 12 miles north of Eagle Lake plus Andy meyers has boats on the chain. The musky arent the biggest but there are a lot of them. You get boat 50 hp 4 stroke 2 dozen minnows and a bag of ice each day and all your gas for about 560 a man and you do your own food. Great people and a good camp. Also Indian Lake LOdge is also on the chain and gives a discount to muskie Inc. Members. |

| I'll second the Quinte for walleye , absolute best walleye fishery in the world period ,and if you want a shot at a monster Muskie the Mighty StLawrence is 1/2 hour away, The pike fishing is outstanding just check out some of the huge pike that have been caught in the Kingston area last year and there are lots of bass lakes close by if you are so incline , the best part is the guides in the area won't rape you for a day on the water and there are boat rentals you can get after you learn of some spots to go , hope this helps I know it's a long drive and you will want to get the biggest bang for your buck , Good luck |

| Quinte at that time of year is a bad idea, and terrible advice. Sure its a walleye hot spot - from November to May...their fishing it in boats right now. All those giant walleye's are back out the lake by that time. Plus ya better have a good size boat, cause if the wind blows you might spend your entire trip on shore. |

| NW Angle of lotw. Walleye fishing is high numbers but not great for size. Pike fishing is good for both and it's musky paradise. Only problem is your budget is way too HIGH haha. 5 friends and i went 5 days last summer and it was 150 a piece for lodging, food, and gas to get there and the boat. |

Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | certainly don't agree you can't find good fishing for 750 or less, especially for a walleye/pike trip.
I would suggest the west end of Lac Seul if Muskies are not needed for the trip...outstanding walleyes fishing, trophy pike potential and If you had the Musky bug you could drive down the road and rent a boat from one of the resorts on Perrault/Cedar or Cliff Lakes....

never stayed here but the rates fit what you are looking for

I have been fishing the Bay of Quinte / Lake Ontario area for 40+ years and i would not recommend it if it was not a viable fishery, yes sometimes the big lake blows hard , but there is always calm water somewhere in the area , you have a multitude of lakes close by that will produce walleye and pike if that situation arises and of course the StLawrence is just down the road for a shot at a monster Muskie please do not be offended when i say if this has been your experiance on the BOQ you obviously have not been given the right information or fished the area enough to form an opinion |

Location: Milwaukee, WI | For the last 6 years, we have stayed at Split Rock Lodge out of Nestor Falls. We don't fish for walleye up there at all, but Mike (the owner) is a hard-core walleye guy, and I am sure he can put you on fish. I can speak from experience that there are also a lot of pike - we've gotten several over 38", with the largest being 43". And the Musky fishing is fantastic. Got my largest, a 53" up there.
We're only changing this year so that we can learn and explore a new section of the lake. We have had a great time every year up there.
I keep track of our costs, and historically, we spend about $850 per person, which includes all our food, beer, gas, etc. Not sure how much renting a boat would increase that, but you would save the expense of trailing a rig up there.
I'm guessing you could do the week for about $1,000 a person, renting a boat but maybe less?

| We have been going to Timber Edge Camps up by Sioux Lookout for around 10 years.
The week you are thinking of going you can fish the english river. Throw walleye colored shallow raiders in the current and you will catch big pike. Last years biggest was 41. Caught 10 one afternoon between 30-38 inches as well.
It is on Lake Minnitaki.
