if youre looking for a blade rod the MH loads up nicely while still being able to handle bigger(ish) baits...if youre looking for an all purpose you cant beat the XH

I own 5 TI rods. By far my favorite is the 9 xh split grip. I would suggest going with a single piece or telescoping. I have not had the best luck with the screw handles but James has treated me well when they have failed. Mh is to light for pounders and xxh is overkill for small blades.

Guest, My suggestion is to use the lure rating I have on the TI rods. The lures ratings are there for the optimal lure weights the rods throw. They can actually show much heavier lures. Example: the MH can throw a pounder but loads up way too much...

Just an FYI but the screw in handles are not on my website anymore but are on liquidation special for $90 delivered. $70 at shows because I do not have to ship them. The handles have been modified and are stronger now but the telescopic rods too the removable handle models place. Much faster to just telescope the rod up and down for storage vs screwing in and out the handle. Plus everyone seemed to just use the long handle anyway...

I own both the H Predator, and 5 TI rods in XH and XXH, the MH is more like a H Predator.... BTW my Predator now sees limited use....

esox4130-Correct, 8' and 9' and I will also have a 7'9" jerkbait (XH+) rod ready in about 8 weeks. With the 9' rod and an 18" handle it actually works like an 8'6"ish rod too. That is if you are used to rods with 12"-14" handles already.

shaley-My goal is to make enough rod models so you have at least 10! I think you need to drive down again and take a look at my new hot pink XH 8' rod. Rig that up with a big double 10 and you will never wonder where your bucktail rod is! ha ha

You know, I wouldn't mind throwing a pink rod, but do you think a musky would react negatively when this pink wand is dipped in the water for a figure 8?

Lucky Craft Man-That is a interesting question. Can't answer about the blank color attracting fish but I wonder for the rods that have silver anodized tip top guides if any musky hit those in a figure 8 vs the lure. I do have one rod with a silver tip top and it has never been hit but I have used it primarily for pike fishing. Pike have never hit it, they always went after the lure on a figure 8. On that note, I did not make the pink blanks out of UV hot pink Just normal hot pink.

If you will be at the Milwaukee, Michigan or Madison show in Feb stop by my booth. You can see all of the new rods and I will also have a few blanks as well as the hot pink rod. Can't wait to see what some custom builders can do with my blanks! I have one guy who will be trading me some work for blanks. I want to have a "Hello Kitty" rod made for my daughter and maybe a theme musky rod made for my son too. Plan on having my 9' blanks cut back to about 7' for them with smaller child size cork or EVA handles on them. See you guys at the show(s)!
