Location: Land of the Musky | About the same but of course a bigger profile. IMO you would want the weighted. The non-weigthed pop up real fast but if you are working them fast it is kind of nice. I personally work my Suicks a little slower and like the weighted ones.

Location: West Bend, WI | I bought a black 12" last year. I really like it. James is right, get the weighted. I haven't gotten a musky on it yet, but the pike have smoked it. |

| I have a couple 12 inch suicks; one weighted and the other unweighted. Like them both but have caught fish on the unweighted in early fall on the shallow weed bite. Have to fish them alot faster than the weighted ones. |

| I like the weighted ones and I use a weighted leader from Stealth Tackle to get them down deeper. Great in the fall

Location: Ontario | Haven't caught any muskie on mine yet, but an excellent big pike bait from about late June until late fall. Mine are the weighted ones and I added 3x wire hooks to them. With the tail dead flat (no bend) they dive and hang close to 8' down on an average length cast. Like all Suicks, they hook most fish ugly..very positive hookers for me.
On my wedding day this past Sept I was able to sneak out for a few hours before walking the plank and had a 42" pike hammer my black one ten feet from the boat in very clear water with the best man watching from the back deck, pretty cool. One of those baits that I caught good fish on the first time I threw it. Suick could make a 2.5 inch model and I'd throw it, they're all deadly baits. Like others have said, it's a great jerkbait to work down deep with lots of hang and lots of bulk. I don't think I've caught a pike under about twelve pounds on mine, come to think of it. |
